Catalyst is a not for profit transforming the knowledge economy of Northern Ireland.
We work with NI companies who are largely graduates of our Springboard personalised accelerator programme or equivalent. These are battle-hardened, high growth potential, knowledge economy based companies with the ambition to need £500k-£3m of funding. While most are Springboard graduates some are suitable companies referred into Catalyst by trusted sources and who have passed a strict readiness test.
We will then profile the individual company funding journey and help prepare the company for this.
We don't provide funding directly but maintain a large network of funders with whom we have a strong relationship as a trusted third party.
These sources of funding are venture capitalists, funds, family offices, syndicates, investor groups and selected experienced individual investors. The majority are based outside Northern Ireland.
The actual matching process is personalized to the company. A small number of potentially well aligned funding sources will be selected, agreed and personally approached.
Ultimately it is always up to the companies and the funding sources to agree a good match and finalise a deal. Catalyst can provide further input based on its extensive experience, but it does not provide advice.
