Knowledge Transfer Network
The Knowledge Transfer Network
(KTN) was established by Innovate UK
to foster better links between business, science, and creativity in order to nurture, develop and scale up innovation. The KTN’s technology expertise is broad in scope and ranges from defence and aerospace to the creative industries, the built environment to biotechnology and robotics. We help Innovate UK with scoping of new grant call areas, and disseminating information on current and upcoming calls which provides access to alternative funding for business growth and technology development.
We foster better collaboration by connecting our members and providing a range of services and support activities including: linking to expertise on technology, projects, research and markets; identifying public and private sector funding including the UK and EU; helping build business cases for funding and investment; investor readiness and due diligence preparation leading to introductions to our network of investors.
The KTN also support investors. We are the national organiser of the Venturefest network
and the Pitchfest events, these are a series of one-day regional showcase events. Venturefest brings together innovators, investors and entrepreneurs and is a rich source of investment pipeline in a range of sectors. Pitchfest connects regional investors to peer nominated companies. These events are organised as a place to meet other investors interested in the region or sector.
Working with our different technical communities, we can help investors with locating investment opportunities and provide due diligence support.
We welcome connections with people who are interested in our activities and services offers.
