UCLan Investment Readiness
UCLan Investment Readiness is the University of Central Lancashire’s free investor-led programme working with growth businesses to prepare themselves for venture capital and business angel investment.
Companies on the programme range from early stage to well established. The amount of funding required typically varies between £50,000 and £ several millions.
Designed and led by experienced investors, the range of seminars and support will ensure businesses seeking funding are equipped to clearly present their proposition and demonstrate a credible plan to deliver the results that investors are looking for.
We are well connected with potential investors and facilitate introductions.
The main programme sections are:
- An introduction to equity investment
- Understanding the investment process – what investors want and what they don’t want
- Business plan critique and feedback
- One-to-one support
- Practice pitching sessions and investor identification
The programme is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is free for eligible Lancashire businesses. There are no charges for investors.
