Wild Blue Cohort, the business angel investment network in West London, is pleased to announce the biggest investment by its members to date, in workflow software company Trint.

Professionals in media, PR, marketing, business, law and academia spend hours making transcriptions to find content in recorded speech. Trint offers a unique service that gives users the ability to quickly transcribe verify, correct, search, edit and export usable content. Founded in 2014 by Emmy award-winning foreign and war correspondent Jeff Kofman, Trint is currently in beta testing at NPR News, BBC News, Thomson Reuters, Oxford University and several newspapers and magazines.

Wild Blue founder and CEO David Barrie says:“Six members came together to invest in Trint. The deal is exciting for us because of the scale of the investment, the quality of the company and its local pedigree. Trint is the second investment by our members in a digital media company that is an alumnus of BBC Worldwide LABS. Based in White City, West London, the LABS are part of the emerging development of the area as a centre for enterprise and innovation. Wild Blue is delighted to act as a source of local risk finance for start-ups and scale-ups in the area.”

For Jeff Kofman, CEO and co-founder of Trint, “It’s been a pleasure to work with Wild Blue and its members. Investment Director Deepali Nangia is hugely supportive. Members are quick to respond and to bring finance and know-how to entrepreneurs like us at a key stage of our growth.”

Wild Blue Cohort is a network of private ‘angel’ investors who want high quality, early-stage companies and start up businesses to thrive and prosper. See Wild Blue Cohort website. If you would like to join the 40+ strong network, contact David Barrie. Trint is the ninth investment by members. More at Trint. Wild Blue was founded in 2014 with support from the Innovative Projects Fund of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. Follow us on Twitter: @WildBlueKC
