Cambridge Capital Group investors have supported 13 innovation led business in the Cambridge hi-tech cluster in the last financial year, including 5 new portfolio companies and 6 follow-on deals. Total investment for the 2012-13 year reached £2m.

Our membership of investors has increased to more than 40 business angels from a range of sectors plus two corporate members, including the Low Carbon Innovation Fund and Martlet, (the seed investment vehicle of Marshall of Cambridge and one of East Anglia’s largest manufacturing employers.)

Our inaugural investor event in Singapore in May this year, in conjunction with our legal partners, Taylor Vinters, and UKTI, was part of an international expansion which has seen our membership grow on three continents. Several portfolio companies were presented to Asian investors in the region as part of the “Cambridge Connection” programme.

Syndicate investors across the portfolio in the last year include Cambridge Enterprise, London Business Angels, Cambridge Angels, Imperial Innovations, NESTA and Qi3. As a private group of investors we focus on trusted formal and informal networks for deal flow and syndicate partners.
