36Investing in Innovation and Creativity

Join us at Investing in Innovation and Creativity a pitching showcase presenting 7 innovative screen-focused founders seeking investment to grow!

UKBAA, Creative England and the BFI have partnered to bring together to support the UK’s creative founders innovating the screen-based space and offering some incredible solutions through the use of AR/VR, animation, games, high end and children’s TV, mixed media and more!

This showcase offers the opportunity to hear from a curated line-up of exciting and innovating founders, each pitching for early stage investment in their businesses. You’ll have the chance to not only hear from 7 fantastic founders, but also enjoy plenty of networking in our Founder Marketplace, which will welcome 20 early stage screen-focused businesses offering the chance to demo and engage with their products.

The event will kick off with the UK’s Games Guru himself, Ian Livingstone, delivering an inspiring and insightful talk on the key opportunities for investing in the screen-based space as he takes us through his journey from founder to investor and industry expert. We’ll then shift into a live pitching showcase with our eminent panel of judges front row to hear from each of the businesses. Following the presentations you’ll be welcomed in the Marketplace where you, along with your fellow-investors will have the chance to network, meet the founders and enjoy drinks and nibbles in the fantastic surroundings of the BFI.
