This new and exciting three-day conference will be the biggest innovation event in the UK this year. It is taking place in Manchester between the 14th and 16th May bringing together over 1700 international businesses, investors and policy makers looking to drive growth through collaboration.

With a packed agenda of presentations, workshops, pitching opportunities and networking, the event provides you with a unique opportunity to meet, collaborate and share ideas with professional peers from across the world. The Summit is the flagship event of the UK Chairmanship of EUREKA, an international network for business collaboration so we are anticipating attendees from over 45 countries, in addition to over 600 UK businesses in attendance.

Opportunities for the Investment Sector

The opportunity of the Summit for the investment sector is predominantly the opportunity to meet a significant number of innovative companies in one venue. With a large number of policy makers in attendance, there is also the opportunity to influence the debate regarding the innovation and investment ecosystem.

On Tuesday 14th May at 14:00 – 15:00 and Wednesday 15th May at 13:15 – 14:15 we will host two pitching sessions. Dr Ian Campbell, Executive Chair, Innovate UK (UK)

Dr Ian Campbell is the Executive Chair of Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency. Ian is an experienced executive in life sciences and the diagnostics sector.

Jayson Myers, CEO, NGen Canada (Canada)

Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (NGen) aims to make Canada a global leader in the shift to advanced manufacturing. NGen will be a catalyst for change, connecting manufacturing and technology companies to meet the challenges of technologically complex production.

Casper Garos, Head of Public-Private Partnerships, Philips Healthcare (The NL)

Casper is responsible for setting up and coordinating public-private partnerships for the various business units of Philips Healthcare, with a focus on enabling new innovations, and collaborations.

Stephen Welton, CEO Business Growth Fund (UK)

Stephen has extensive experience as an investor. As the founder CEO of Business Growth Fund since it was set up in 2011, Stephen is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the company.
