Grocery Accelerator has announced that four new start-ups have joined their growing stable of brands, bringing the total to seventeen companies who collectively have received over £2.5m of investment via partner Angels and Funds. This round has been backed by the Epicure SEIS Fund in association with Start-up Funding Club, reflecting a long-standing relationship dating to the first cohort in March 2015.

“These are four exciting new additions to our portfolio, each led by young founders in their mid-twenties,” comments Paddy Willis, co-founder of Grocery Accelerator. “We kicked-off our accelerator programme at the end of 2017 and believe they have great potential to succeed in what has become a particularly vibrant and competitive sector.”

The companies have had an initial injection of capital and will be working to pitch for further funds in March.

The four companies are:

Antler & Bird Ltd (cold-brew coffee)

MH Pantry Ltd t/a Griddle (high protein pancakes)

The Skinny Sauce Company Ltd (low sugar condiments)

Hunter & Gather Ltd (award winning avocado mayonnaise and oil)

Anyone interested in the possibility of investing in any of the companies being supported by the Grocery Accelerator, still the UK’s leading programme that backs young businesses with investment and industry support, is invited to contact Paddy Willis on [email protected]
