Scottish Investment Bank looking for ambitious companies seeking equity investment for exciting new European initiative
The Scottish-European Growth Co-Investment Programme (SEGCP) which was launched in 2017 and took Scottish Enterprise’s co-investment approach to the European stage, is part of the package of support we can offer and builds on SIB’s existing offerings which have supported so many Scottish companies over the years. This programme makes £200m available to existing Scottish companies and companies expanding into Scotland. This is a flexible programme offering equity into companies making a step change in their growth.
The initiative is an innovative way for Scotland to leverage European Investment Fund funding, with funding secured from Scottish Government’s Scottish Growth Scheme, to enable Scottish SMEs to access significant later stage investment from accredited Fund Managers to support their scaling journey. The Programme has the potential to secure at least £200m of capital for Scotland’s most ambitious companies – allowing them to fundraise with the confidence match funding is avaliable.
Scottish Enterprise is working with growth companies seeking scale up capital to prepare them for engaging with Fund Managers. This includes providing assistance in identifying and engaging with appropriate and relevant investors, preparing investment ‘teasers’ and funding pitching masterclasses. We hope that this package of support will maximise the potential for companies to successfully raise international investment.
We are looking for more ambitious companies to help. We know that securing the available finance in Scotland requires the efforts and co-ordination of many players from the companies and their advisors to existing investors and funders, alongside the available support from Scottish Enterprise.
