Minerva, part of the University of Warwick Science Park, Warwick Ventures and the West Midlands Combined (WMC) authority have joined forces to promote investment within the West Midlands, and it’s locally based companies.

Of the £1.8bn invested through the Enterprise Investment Scheme, around only 2.6% is invested in the West Midlands compared to a £1bn invested in the South East.  This imbalance leads to our best talent and growing companies seeking investment down South ultimately leading to the migration of talent and jobs in search of investment capital.  We want to work together to address some of this imbalance and help provide an alternative investment opportunity not only to our local companies but investors, especially those investors willing to get involved with like-minded people

On the 22nd January 2019 Minerva, Warwick Ventures and WMC will be showcasing six companies at the University of Warwick  (https://warwick.ac.uk/services/conferences/spaces/scarman/). The Mayor of WMC Andy Street will be in attendance to lend his support and launch the event which starts at 12:30 with lunch and concluding at 16:30

Numbers are restricted so it will be on a first come first served basis and further details on the event and companies will be provided in due course to those expressing an interest.
