In partnership with the Mayor of London, UK Business Angels Association presented the fourth Mayor of London’s TechInvest on Friday 28 September focusing on Fintech businesses offering solutions that improve traditional delivery methods of financial services to empower and improve the lives of London’s communities. Hosted in London’s Living Room, City Hall with London’s stunning skyline as the backdrop, we welcomed an audience of over 130 angel and VC investors with a total combined investment capacity of over £1.4bn to hear from 10 leading Fintech innovators pitch for investment. The top 10 businesses were selected by our expert judging panel from a group of 75 competitive applications. The presenting businesses showcased their innovative solutions in such areas as financial inclusion, regulatory compliance, gig economy, insurance and SME financial services. In addition to hearing from our innovators, we were joined by Rajesh Agrawal, Deputy Mayor of London for Businesses to welcome our audience and speak on the incredibly diverse Fintech space and the cities’ initiative to continually support the growth of London’s entrepreneurs.
