More than 250 angel investors, angel syndicates and venture capital firms are flocking to Manchester tomorrow (28th March) to meet some of the region’s top growth entrepreneurs and shine a light on investment opportunities in the North.

UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA) is hosting the Northern Investment Summit, where the latest investment developments and new initiatives underway will be highlighted by speakers including Keith Morgan, CEO of the British Business Bank, Caroline Norbury, chief executive of Creative England, and Hugh Campbell, founder of tech investment bank GP Bullhound.

Tech North is also partnering with UKBAA to showcase to investors 10 of the region’s promising startups at the event.

Jenny Tooth, CEO of UKBAA, said:

“The majority of equity investment still takes place in London and the South East and this simply does not make sense given the volume of talented entrepreneurs that we see in the North.

“There are fantastic growth businesses in the regions and UKBAA wants to play its part in encouraging and promoting investment in startups and scale ups across the whole of the UK.”
