Northern Ireland came to London

Northern Ireland came to London on 6th February to show to an audience of funders where and how the good deals come from.

Speakers included Rob Grundy of the Health Innovation Research Alliance NI explaining the strong Life Science and Medical Devices sector and Catalyst Director of Growth and Scaling John Knapton on the 19 companies involved in the Catalyst Way to Scale Programme. NI seed and VC funds were also present to explain how the work they do can add value to incoming investors.

One of the highlights was Dale Cree, CEO of rapdily expanding 3EN, who discussed how his experience on Way to Scale was already transforming his business. Given that it is already doubling in sales year on year, it will be interestind to see what might happen next!

Catalyst Director of Funding Alan Watts said :

“This event, kindly sponsored by TLT and MJ Hudson, is one of two which lead up to NI’s biggest incoming investor event – NI Deal Day. Last year we had 40 funders and there will be more on 24th September this year. It’s the most efficient, and also the most fun, way to understand and meet the great deals coming out of NI.”

As is traditional at these events, the informalities were then following by some serious ‘networking’ until very late.
