Nummy gains 1500 users in less than 2 weeks by helping people navigate restaurants and bars under COVID19

WeWork Labs member Nummy gains 1500 users in less than 2 weeks by helping people navigate restaurants and bars under COVID19.

Nummy was previously a table sharing app but has pivoted their business into a lockdown guide. After spending weeks in lockdown and constantly seeing restaurants going into administration, or forced to give 30%-35% to delivery platforms in order to stay afloat, Nummy founder Yiran Qin decided to build an app to champion restaurants and provide a one-stop-shop for information on restaurant reopenings in London. The webapp was built in less than a week and can be easily accessible on mobile devices browsers without the need for download. Users can find information on the safety measures, new opening hours, reservation procedures, and other helpful information such as outdoor space, pet friendly etc. Within 2 weeks of launch, the new Nummy app has attracted more than 1500 users and still growing exponentially. Nummy plans to continually update the app, include up-to-date information on government schemes such as #EatOutToHelpOut and expand within the UK.

Funding round to be announced soon, get in touch with Yiran via hello@nummyapp.com or via the WeWork Labs team on labsuk@wework.com if you would like to receive updates.
