Startup Funding Club Angel Fund V invests over £5m across 28 companies in Q1
Startup Funding Club has announced that their SFC Angel Fund V had a very active Q1 with over £5m invested across 28 companies.
Of those 28, 21 were new companies raising their first funding round (SFC Angel Fund V SEIS) and 7 top performers from the existing SFC portfolio raising growth capital (SFC Angel V EIS).
The companies all have long-term horizons, operating in sectors least impacted by the current COVID-19 pandemic such as Deep Tech, Medtech, Life Sciences, or specific B2B solutions.
Take a look at the SFC Angel Fund V – Portfolio Overview.
Startup Funding Club asked every company to present a COVID-19 plan showing how the crisis is affecting their business and their actions to mitigate these risks. The use of funds was based on a worst-case 12-month cashflow forecast assuming no revenues. Therefore, every portfolio company should have enough cash runway to survive and adapt to this new environment.
Startup Funding Club also co-invested with more than 30 angel investors who provided over £1m alongside our funds.
