These are the top 8 industry titans taking lead at QVentures and London Business School’s first ever Venture Capital programme

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – Earlier this year, London Business School (LBS) and QVentures, a leading private network for sophisticated investors, announced their joint initiative to co-develop an exclusive professional development programme in Venture Capital.

The four-day programme is aimed at Venture Capital professionals, Family Offices and Sophisticated Investors and is exclusively for QVentures members. The course aims to provide the best practices in Venture Capital and fill the gaps in training through hands-on learning experiences and practical case studies in a challenging interactive environment.

QVentures and London Business School are delighted to reveal an exceptional line up of industry leaders as keynote speakers for the upcoming programme this November 2020:

Irina Elena Haivas, Partner at Atomico
Lars Fjeldsoe-Nielsen, General Partner at Balderton Capital
Pascal Cagni, Partner at C4 Ventures
Joe Schorge, Managing Partner at Isomer Capital
Farhan Lalji, Principal at Anthemis Group
Juan Manuel Fern√°ndez Lobato, co-CEO and Founder of Ebury
Terence Tse, PhD, Co-Founder of Nexus FrontierTech
James Shaw, Global Head of Withers Tech (Withersworldwide)

The industry speakers will be alongside top-tier London Business School academics who will be leading the 4-day Executive Education course exclusively for the QVentures international network. The unique course will address the Venture Capital world in a holistic way, looking at both its hard and soft dimensions, macro and micro factors that drive strategy and investment decisions. The programme style and tone will be interactive and experiential and will include feedback, dialogue and coaching groups to debate and dive further into the content.

James Shaw, Global Head of Withers Tech, comments, “I am really pleased to be participating in the programme as a keynote speaker and to be sitting alongside such an impressive set of other speakers. Practical experience will be invaluable in these VC investing sessions, and we will bring a wealth of advice and tips to the attendees. From my perspective, it’s very much about looking at the ways in which the global pool of private capital is typically deployed into high growth companies across Europe (including a detailed look at the documents and strategies) together with an update on trends in the market, informed by data and know-how from market-leading transactions.”

Robert Walsh, Managing Partner of QVentures, says “We have found there is an increasing demand for Family Offices and corporate VCs to access education in their field. QVentures is proud to be at the forefront of this, supporting the education of the next generation of Family Offices.”

With the coming of age of the European venture market, research conducted by LBS indicates that
many Venture Capital professionals are seeking more formal learning and knowledge to deepen their
career expertise. This new programme aims to address this gap by enhancing both competence and
confidence for Venture Capital professionals through a unique experience that hasn’t yet been
available in the market.

Registration for the November programme is now open. Please head to www.london.edu/qventures to register your interest.
